Andrea Ferrari graduated in piano, violin, composition and conducting from prestigious Italian conservatories.

Subsequently he perfected himself as a preparer and conductor, bringing with him a new perspective on the podium and an innovative working method in the preparation of the Italian Opera repertoire.

He studied conducting and was an assistant with great conductors:
Gianfranco Masini, Piero Bellugi, Antonio Tappero Merlo, Donato Renzetti, Angelo Faja, Sandro Sanna, Richard Bonynge, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Metha, James Levine, Steven Mercurio, Maurizio Arena, Daniele Gatti, Ennio Nicotra, Luciano Acocella e Jorma Panula.

He was conductor, assistant or preparer in the productions of:

He worked on the production of the Christmas Concert of the 3 tenors (J. Carreras, P. Domingo and L. Pavarotti) at the Vienna Konzerthaus with the Wiener Symphoniker for Sony International. He followed the three tenors’ Sony Production also on tours in the United States, China and Australia.

For Sony International, he made the arrangements for a series of Christmas concerts in the Holy Land with the presence of Josè Carreras, with the Orchestra of the Toscanini Foundation of Parma as well as the production of some film soundtracks.

He has also collaborated on world premieres of contemporary works with composers: Marco Tutino, Lorenzo Ferrero, Giorgio Battistelli, Giovanni Sollima, Enrico Rava, Luca Mosca and others.

In London and United Kingdom he collaborates with various musical institutions and works on projects related to the Opera repertoire.
He is the Director of the Italian Opera Academy of London.

His repertoire ranges from lyric-symphonic to film soundtracks and he is also highly regarded as a composer and arranger for American, English and Italian cinema with short films, documentaries and advertising jingles.
His music was recently awarded at the Los Angeles Film Award.

His music has been in competition at the cinema exhibitions in Venice, Rome, Cannes and Berlin. He has also composed music commissioned by the "Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research" for important museums and archaeological sites in Italy.

He teaches at some prestigious Italian Conservatories, also as an expert in new technologies and communications applied to multimedia.
He holds masterclasses in Italy and abroad and he is also appreciated as pianist accompanist and korrepetitor in several prestigious London institutions.

Andrea Ferrari, artistic director of musical seasons and festivals, founded the New Art Symphonic Orchestra, of which he is musical director.
